Custom Field Populator: How to Delete a Custom Field

There are two options to delete custom fields:

1. Deleting the custom field from Custom Field Populator
2. Deleting the custom field from Custom Field Populator, items, and your store

These instructions show you how to delete custom fields using the app interface. If you want to delete custom fields using a CSV file, click here for instructions.

Delete a Custom Field from Custom Field Populator

Step 1: Go to the Custom Field Populator Dashboard and click on Custom Fields:

Step 2: A list of all your custom fields will be displayed. Click Delete on the custom field you want to delete from Custom Field Populator.

• Deleting the custom field from Custom Field Populator will NOT remove the custom field from items and will NOT permanently delete it from your store.
• If you deleted the custom field from Custom Field Populator by mistake, creating a new custom field with the same name will force Custom Field Populator to regenerate and add it back to the list of available custom fields.

Delete a Custom Field from Custom Field Populator, All Items, and Your Store

Step 1: Go to the Custom Field Populator Dashboard and click on Custom Fields:

Step 2: A list of all your custom fields will be displayed. Click Edit on the custom field you want to delete.

Step 3: Click Delete Custom Field On All Products from the top menu.

By clicking this button, you are deleting the custom field from ALL items and also deleting the custom field from your store. This action is not recoverable.
